30 Things I Like About Summer

Summer is one of my favorite seasons! The main reason I like it is because of the super warm heat. I know compared to california and places like that we are actually cold but I don't think I could stand it getting any hotter. In the summer my family and I enjoy going camping. Sometimes I go camping with just my two cousins and my aunt and uncle. When we are camping I enjoy doing a lot of thing. I enjoy the ride there because my Uncle has a moterhome and that is very fun to ride in because we do lots of crazy stuff like surfing from couch to couch while driving. Also while camping I like to go boating and kayaking because I really enjoy being on the lake. Tubing is also something I really enjoy doing because I love the thrill of the speed and trying to stay on. FIshing is something I like to do because of the suspense of waiting for a fish to bight on your hook and pull it down. Honestly I prefer swimming in lakes more than in swimming pools because you have more freedom. One of the places we like to go camping has a little floating yellow dock like a fair ways out that we like to swim to. I really love quadding because of all the mud and water. If you don't get stuck and get all dirty it is no fun! During the school year I don't get to see my family very often because we live quite far away, the family that lives closest to us is almost 5 hours away.With my family welike to do a lot of things together like playing football, going for walks, camping , biking and a lot of other things. We also usually have one or two familt reunions to go to and those are usually a lot of fun because we have a HUGE family. This year we won't be able to go to the Martin/Jennings family reunion because my cousins wedding is the same weekend but it is in Vancouver. When we go to their wedding we are going to go on a roadtrip and visitmost of our family on the way there. We actually have quite a few weddings to go to in the summer. I find that in the summer you have a lot of freedom, like you can stay up really late and then you can sleep in. Also you don't really have any timeline so you can do something at the time you want to do it. If you can't tell I really enjoy being outside, since I'm outside a lot I get a pretty great tan! Another thing I like about summer is the clothes you get to wear. You don't have to wear a sweater and jeans, you can wear just a tank to and shorts. In the summer everything looks really beautiful and the fruit is always so plump and juicy at this time, especially watermelons which are super great for in the summer! When I'm at home I enjoy going in the sprinkler and reading a book outside, walking in my bare feet (wich I do while camping as well). Not waking up for school is definitally a plus. Not carrying around a coat all the time is also pretty great! I have quite a bit of fun when we put soap on the trampoline and pu the sprinkler underneath it ( I mean nobody has got hurt yet).
