On Friday June 5th Jac and I travelled down to Grande Cache to put on the Relay for life event. Jac picked me up from school at 2:00 and we were off to Grande Prairie. We stopped at the gas station in Clairmont, fueled up and got some popsicles. We had to stop at Yogurties to meet up with Lisa. Jac and I travelled together then Lisa drove in her car. It took 3 hours to drive there because the highways were so busy, there were a bunch of big trucks and some construction. Once we got to Grande Cache we stopped at our Hotel and dropped all our stuff off. The hotel payed for our room because they knew that we were with The Canadian Cancer Society. We drove off to the Arena and started to set up. There were like 20 people there to help us. We got there at 6:30 and finished around 8-9. We went and picked up a bunch of candy for us to eat that night and we picked up some veggies for supper. We stayed up pretty late watching T.V and then then we woke up at 8. We tried to play some time but had a hard time so we went back to the Arena early. The people with the BBQ came at 4 and then Q99 was super late. Everybody started coming at 5.I had to take in all the registration money and all of the money coming in. After that I had to sell the BBQ stuff, run the registration, sell Luminaries and take pictures, so I had the job of 4 people. I was super busy and Jac was so glad I came because Jac had to deal with everything that went wrong (wich was a lot) but it was a great turn out. It was a super fun time but insanely crazy. I met lots of amazing people, like Tristin, Cody, Glynis, Wyatt and Brandon. The picture below is the team that raised the most money by a long shot!
